Frequently asked questions

How is my chance calculated?

SkillSelect shows how many EOIs for your occupation were invited in each round. We compare that with your place in today's queue: EOIs with more points than you, plus those with the same points and an earlier date of effect. If the usual number of invitations reaches past your place, you are likely to be invited; the chance allows for how much invitations vary from round to round and whether the occupation was in the latest round.

What if my date of effect is before the last round?

If your points were at or above the cut-off for your occupation in the last round and your date of effect was before that round's tie-break date, you would normally have been invited already. The checker tells you so instead of giving a chance.

Is this a guarantee?

No. Home Affairs can change round sizes, occupation ceilings and priorities at any time. Treat the result as an informed estimate and check official information before making decisions.

Why is 190 and 491 state nomination only a guide?

States don't publish points cut-offs and select candidates using their own criteria, such as where you live and work. We show how often EOIs at your points received state invitations recently instead of a forecast.

Is my information stored?

No. The checker runs in your browser. Your occupation, points and date are not sent to InviteRadar.
